Senior Energy Policy Economist - Chemonics

Chemonics seeks a senior energy policy economist for an anticipated USAID-funded support for economic analysis development – Indonesia (SEADI) Project. The project aims to improve the economic policy enabling environment necessary for rapid, inclusive and sustainable economic growth, job creation,
and poverty reduction.

Qualifications:

  • Advanced degree in relevant field.
  • At least ten years of direct technical experience and solid technical knowledge of the Indonesian energy sector – especially the pricing and subsidy issues, the economic distortions at the consumption, production and distribution levels – and related policy instruments and institutional arrangements are required.
  • Prior experience working with GOI institutions that set policies and regulate the energy programs and sector are preferred.
  • Proficiency in English.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
