Senior Agricultural Economist - Chemonics

Chemonics seeks a senior agricultural economist for an anticipated USAID-funded support for economic analysis development – Indonesia (SEADI) Project. The project aims to improve the economic policy enabling environment necessary for rapid, inclusive and sustainable economic growth, job creation,
and poverty reduction. 

Qualifications:

• Advanced degree in relevant field.
• At least ten years of direct technical experience and solid technical knowledge of Indonesia’s agricultural sector, especially with horticulture, coffee and cocoa
• Solid technical knowledge of Indonesian agricultural policy regime, agricultural institutional framework, and agriculture-related poverty and competitiveness issues is required
• Prior experiences working with GOI institutions that set and implement trade policies and regulate the trade sector are preferred.
• Proficiency in English.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
