Monetary Economist - Chemonics

Chemonics seeks a monetary economist for an anticipated USAID-funded support for economic analysis development – Indonesia (SEADI) Project. The project aims to improve the economic policy enabling environment necessary for rapid, inclusive and sustainable economic growth, job creation, and poverty reduction. 

Qualifications:

  • Advanced degree in relevant field.
  • At least ten years of direct technical experience and solid technical knowledge of Indonesia’s monetary policies, especially Central Bank’s exchange rate and interest rate policies.
  • Solid technical knowledge of Indonesia’s monetary policy regime, institutional framework, and competitiveness-related issues is required.
  • Prior experience working with the Central Bank and commercial banks are preferred.
  • Proficiency in English.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
